LANDER CARNEGIE LIBRARY

DMA provided conceptual design services for the redevelopment of the over one hundred year-old, 10,000 square feet, two-story Carnegie Library into a performing arts space. The Carnegie Library Building has a long history of use by the arts community.

The goal of this project was to improve this space to serve as a vital and viable resource for the Lander arts community, and to preserve a historic structure within the community. We achieved this goal through the following improvements: added a new roof, cleaned the masonry, rehabilitated all windows and doors and updated lighting and mechanical systems. These necessary changes improved the space but did not adversely impact the historical integrity of the building allowing it to be preserved for various future reasons.
