This barn has evolved from a simple storage space for vehicles, tools and toys into a charming event venue. Our clients aimed to create a special location for various gatherings and family events. Inspired by E. Fay Jones’ Thorncrown Chapel near Eureka Springs, Arkansas, the barn features a delicate wooden structural frame with open sides and abundant glazing, providing a unique ambiance that connects guests to the natural beauty outside.
The spacious interior accommodates up to 160 guests and includes a bar area, as well as an elevated loft for a band. Sliding barn doors on steel tracks allow the summer breeze to flow through, enhancing the experience for guests. A double-sided stone fireplace set within a glass wall keeps everyone cozy, while a covered patio with a pergola provides even more er additional entertaining space.
Glulam beams, a moment frame, and tension cables ensure the structural integrity of the building. The rustic siding adds a fitting touch to blend the barn into the rural landscape, while a standing seam metal roof covers the entire structure. A man-made, naturalized trout pond completes the setting.
