Our clients wanted a comfortable stylized one-story home that harmonized with the local and traditional architecture of the region

KARAHADIAN RESIDENCE

Wilson, Wyoming  •  3,500 sq. ft.

Design Team: Chris Moulder AIA, Eric Helgoth

This stylized ranch house is the result of a careful study of the local vernacular architecture of Teton County, Wyoming. Our clients wanted a comfortable one-story home that gave a nod to the past while looking to the future. The extruded floor plan allows for flexibility in living as well as privacy in a modest 3,500 square feet of living space, with a 19 feet height restriction. Porches expand the living space outdoors, large view windows draw the eye from the interior to magnificent mountain vistas, the heavy textures and earthy colors ground the project and help it become one with the site.
